Like all technology it usually starts off expensive and as more and more people buy it the prices goes down. This is down to the fact this costs money to develop new devices and gadgets and this cost has to be recouped. This is what forces the price of new technology up.

According to Microsoft the Natal will be no different. The price will start off quite high and then gradually come down over time. That is if the whole thing takes off and people buy it. I think it will be a success and therefore I think people will buy the new device in their droves over a period of time.

If the other peripherals that Microsoft has release are anything to go by the Natal will be quite costly in the early days. How much exactly, it is hard to say.

What many people hope is that the Natal will not price its self out of the market as an overpriced gadget for rich gits.

Also it is thought that when the Natal is launched next year it will not be called the Natal at all but something else quite different. What it will be called nobody knows.

It looks like the Natal is not just a promotional stunt by Microsoft but a serious venture which they hope to launch next year in 2010. They have just brought it to the Tokyo Game Show. Kudo Tsunoda is the creative director of the Natal project and he was the man at the show giving a first class demo of what looks like will be the new revolution in gaming.

What is a little disappointing is they are still showing off the same game they have showed us since the Natal project first saw the light of day back in the beginning of the summer. This game is Ricochet. Yes the Natal looks great, but we I think we need to start seeing some more games.

That said I thourghly enjoyed playing Ricochet and found it quite a challenge. I think this was down to the fact that I had been standing in the same place as if I was glued to the spot. This is the thing with Natal, you really have to get into the mindset that you can move all over the place and need to if you want to succeed at what it throws at you and get the most out of it.

We are still awaiting an exact deadline for when the it will hit the streets.

At the German games convention Gamescom Microsoft allowed the general public to take a gander at the new Natal controller for the Xbox 360 and actually have a go on it.

With Microsoft letting the world play its new toy it shows that they are serious about this new technology and are keen to get it on the market.

That said, apart from letting us play it they did not give any news of release dates or many other details about its development.

They announced the development of Fable 3 and Fable Episodic, but that was about the only new news we got.

Other games available in conjunction with the new controller are Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed II, DJ Hero, God Of War 3 and Bayonetta.

It could still be a while before we see it on sale in the UK, but with it being displayed for the general public to use, it is definitely something that is on its way.

There are other companies out there also developing similar gadgets and Microsoft are going to have to be on the ball if they do not want this to become a big fat flop.

These days there are smaller companies that are able to develop quite revolutionary gaming technology.
